Syrian Artist/Producer "Da MoJaNaD" Changes his name to "Ayham" & is working on a NEW ALBUM!

"I've had a great career as a producer, but one of the main reasons I changed my name from Da MoJaNaD to Ayham is because when you ask people about the "Production" they know its Da MoJaNaD, and I wantedthe people to know that I also sing, I am an artist and hence why the name change " Ayham on the Buckle Up with Big Hass show talking about his decision to change his name.

The Artist/Producer, wants people to get acquainted with "Ayham" as he is trying to push more arabic into his style, not only in production, but also in the way he sings. He is gearing up to drop his album and he has so far released ONE song from this album and it featured Syrian Rapper "MOUDYALARBE" titled "Ma Malet" - The Album is set to have 6 Tracks & is currently being released as singles..(The name of the album is yet to be announced..) but Ayham is building his artist character with every single that drops! And he is very passionate about using Arabic Instruments in his music, "..rather than getting a Kick/Snare, I'd rather get a "Derbake", My vision is to highlight Arabic music more & also I always say "Speak your emotions..!"

Ayham wants to do what Da MoJaNaD couldn't do/did not do and it feels its the birth of a new artist! Da MoJaNaD has worked with so many artists/rappers, one of the highlights of Da MoJaNaD career was working with Palestinian Artist Big Sam on the album "KAZAB" which dropped back in 2020!

Moreover, Ayham is expressing himself in a different way now and with the support and management of SHBB Collective , he feels he has found himself again and is super excited for what's to come!

When asked about his dreams, Ayham replied back saying .. "I just want my friends, SHBB Collective to be proud of what I am doing.."

Bu Kolthoum in a message of GRATITUDE !

Syrian Artist Bu Kolthoum who is based in Holland at the moment strikes again with a hard-hitter song "Mamnoun" which means "Gratitude" in Arabic". The song discusses many things and maybe gives out mixed signals about his life and his dreams, but the way he did the song was pure genius in my opinion. Maybe he's discussing the Butterfly Theory..Maybe not...

What's amazing is that we have an Arab Artist that ain't afraid to let his emotions out and he finds comfort in the music, music heals him and in that aspect, the music he makes heals people too..

Watching the video and listening to the track, one can see that there are so many references, I see a "lullaby" reference at the beginning, i see a "Mahmoud Darwish" reference with the "Butterfly", I see a "home/country" reference in addition to the mother reference that can also circle back to his "motherland".

Or maybe we are all over-analyzing ... but that art is all about, to provoke thoughts and make us think, sometimes its to shake booty, sometimes its to shake the mind..

SUDAN CYPHER | سايفر السودان

I've always had a connection with Sudan, I am yet to figure out what and how this connections started but I LOVE the country, I love the people, I love the art, I love everything about Sudan. One of my 2020 goals is to visit Sudan inshalla.

I also love "cyphers", Put together 2 re-volt cyphers + an Anghami Cypher in the past, and then I wanted to do a "Sudan Cypher" and I felt honored to reach out to few incredible MC's that personally impacted me with their lyrics and their incredible flow.

I've had the pleasure to connect/meet with Brooklyn Hitz through the guys at "Phoaq" and I fell in love with his authentic beats and his passion for true hip-hop production. I reached out to him with the idea and he was very welcoming and supportive. He sent me many beats, I chose mainly 3 beats and those beats were sent to the rappers who I put together.

Now, this was the hardest part, I personally wanted to put a Cypher with the MC's that personally impacted me and hence I started to gather the line up.

I reached out to the rappers and they ALL showed so much love and support.

Each of them delivered and i loved the diversity of their verses.

PALESTENIAN RAPPER "ILLIAM" RELEASES HIS FIRST ALBUM ENTITLED "BEFORE BED"

After many collaborations and singles since 2018, Palestinian rapper who is based in Qatar released his FIRST Official album on 10th Dec, 2019 on Soundcloud and then it was released on all streaming platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, Anghami, etc...) 

I just finished listening to the full album for the first time, and from the get-go, one can feel the passion this kid has for rap. A lot of discussion on mental health and also incredible punchlines. He is not holding back and lyrically he's discussing many things but the one highlight for me is the fact that "space" is where illiam feels at home. Space has no gravity so you always floating right? In one of the lines he actually says "... I am scared that the planet might not be enough for my imagination" 

My favorite song is "Cinema", from the first second till the last, he kept me engaged... "Bkhaf" is also a song that is getting a lot of love.

Brother Bull Vs Dizaster (The Arena) 

On August 18,2019 , the Arena held a Battle between Dizaster and Brother Bull 

Video of this battle is now out and being circulated around the web with people reacting to it and even non-Arab speakers are just loving the vibe or what they feel from the visuals/actions from the scene.

I salute Brother Bull for accepting and going with this battle, it ain't easy standing in front of a Battle legend like Dizaster and actually holding your own which is really something to be celebrated. 

He Exclusively gave Re-Volt a Post-Battle Quote :-
"The battle was something I was looking forward to. I couldn’t write as much as I wanted to because it was on short notice and I was preparing for another battle already, but that pushed me to deliver a round with as little filler as possible. After the battle me and Diz talked and we both had a lot of respect for each other especially when we saw how much we prepared for each other. I think preparing for your battle opponent is the highest form of respect in this subculture." 

Giving the fact that the FIRST OFFICIAL BATTLE that took place at the ARENA was in 2015, 4 years later the league has gained popularity and a reputation. Some really amazing battles went down. I salute the grind and hustle from the Arena team , because it's not easy at all running such a platform especially that Battle Rap is not really that understood in the Arab region yet! but The Arena is for sure making a change here..

For me however, personally, I do believe that the highlight of this battle was at (9:26) - I do believe the whole battle after that changed and became in-favor for Dizaster because of what/how he said what he said.

DIZASTER SET TO BATTLE BROTHER BULL IN THE ARENA - BEIRUT (LEBANON)

GREAT NEWS FOR RAP BATTLE FANS IN THE MIDDLE EAST !!

THE ARENA which is The Middle East's 1st Official Battle Rap League based in Beirut, Lebanon has managed to organize a Battle Between DIZASTER & BROTHER BULL that will take place in AR_KA on 18th August as part of the SCUM Week Festival 

"We tried setting up a battle between Dizaster & Kalash , but unfortunately that didn't work due to Kalash working on his album which we respect, however, Dizaster has always been up-to-date with The ARENA Battles and he checked out the battles online and decided on Brother Bull" Chyno who is the Co-Founder of The Arena told RE-VOLT.

And when asked about how did The Arena Launch back in 2015, he said:

"... I think Im just a huge Rap Battle fan, I been watching Battles for a long time. In 2015, Dizaster contacted Edd Abbas for a battle, that was Diz idea to make that battle happen and I was working on content, doing lots of videos and this is when Edd Abbas contacted me to shoot/create video for the Battle. I did a page on FB, but the whole idea was jumped started by Dizaster and Edd Abbas inclination to accept his invitation for Battle.."

Bu Kolthoum has always been very honest with his lyrics. I feel its real and its refreshing. We really need to support this guy even more and push him. I salute him as he's someone who really is giving the whole Arabic Music scene something to really be proud of. He's unique. 

He just dropped a song called "Wallé" and its around 3 AM Dubai Time, and I had to catch him and ask him what inspired such a song, a full-detailed audio interview will be released in next few days but for now, please enjoy the song, push it, share it. 


Bu Kolthoum said for RE-VOLT : "For me I made this track, as kind of a statement to the victim culture and to the mob mentality culture. - - Two sides to the same coin, which is the same problem - We either idolize people to the point of we deny that they make mistakes and at the same we dehumanize other people totally as if they dont have any feelings" 

He goes on and says: "and the other side of the coin, Im addressing the fact that everyone wants to be a victim.  only the feeling of the victims matter... this track is a statement to that way of thinking"

JORDANIAN RAPPER "THE SYNAPTIK" RELEASES HIS FIRST ALBUM "Om Al Mawjat"

Jordanian Rapper "The Synaptik" released his FIRST Official Album entitled "Om Al Mawjat" on August 31st,2018 surrounded by his fans in Amman, Jordan. The Med Graduate who initially started rapping in English expressed various topics on this album ranging between "... Mental Health, Social Issues, The reality of being in the Middle East, personal demons, heart break and Hope"

The Synaptik whose first name is Laith studied Medicine for 7 years and graduated. His artistic name is derived from his fascination with the nervous system, Neurotransmitter & his personal experience with ADHD, hence calling himself "Synaptik" "...Because that's where things happen.."

He started working on the album 2 years ago, ".. Its a very personal album!" Laith says. The album is produced by Damar and Wikidz

The album features names like "Abyusif, Bu Kolthoum, El Far3i, El Rass, Tamer Nafar, Mehrak, Bader Azem & Yasmina Abunassar"

Much respect to The Synaptik, I feel the album and it's really amazing to see rappers in the Middle-East be able to address such topics using Hip-Hop.

What I respect the most about Lebanese/Armenian Dj Goadman is his work ethic, he keeps pushing himself and somehow also empowering the Arabic rap scene. He has a certain love and feel to authentic sounds, he was lucky enough to open up to acts like Tech N9ne, Bone Thugs, Ghostface and many others along playing in a lot of clubs.

Funky Fikon is his latest project and it is something worth checking since it has 17 rappers all spitting on beats PRODUCED by Goadman himself. The album has a very cool/fresh sound; something we really need in Arabic Hip-Hop and for people to not always associate Arabic rap to revolutions and always hardcore beats.  This album includes some of the best rappers in Arabia and also some of the upcoming ones. I love how each track has Goadman's scratch on it, adding his touch to it. The album has tracks collected since 2014 and was just released a week ago.

These are the rappers involved in the project, Bu Kolthoum (Syria), Malikah (Lebanon), Edd Abbas (Lebanon), Hamorabi (Lebanon), Rushzilla (Egypt), Bill Amaliyeh (Lebanon/US), Black Drama (Saudi), Satti (Jordan), Jnood Beirut (Lebanon), WMD (Tunis), ILL Paz (Palestine), ElNasser (Egypt/Qatar), Katibe 5 & Yaseen (Palestine) & Anas Arabi (Syria/KSA). I was also blessed to give a small intro at the beginning. 

The album is based on some great sampling wether its Jazz, Soul, Funk and Old "Tarab".

I personally would click play and get to know this new and cool sound of Arabia accompanied with some great scratching and lyrically it is up to a level where I can call it a classic in the making. 

I love these initiatives simply because it just connects us more and it gives more awareness on our movement, I would only wish to have some GCC countries included, because I truly believe there are some great rappers in GCC that deserve also the exposure. More power to Dj Goadman and all the rappers that participated in this project. S/O to Anas Arabi for mixing and mastering.

Big Hass Hosts Re-Volt Cypher PArt ii (Produced by Orient Squad) | Release Date: 4th June,2016

I've always been a big believer that "cyphers" are dope. 

I launched Re-Volt Cypher Part i about a year ago & now I am proud to present Part ii which is produced by one of my favourite producers in the game "Orient Squad". 

The track features 6 Arab MC's from Sudan, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Syria & Palestine. 

The official artwork for the cypher was done by "ilakh" (Dope artist) 

I will be releasing the track on the 4th June, 2016 ! 

It will be released on my Soundcloud page.
