Narcy debuts a song for Baghdad on "AlBasheer Show"

Ahmad Al-Basheer is an Iraqi comedian, journalist and director. He is most prominently known for creating the television program Albasheer Show. After he began broadcasting in 2014, he became one of the most famous comedians in Iraq.

Yassin AlSalman, also known as "Narcy" is an Iraqi/Canadian Artist who we been following here at RE-VOLT since we launched in 2007! It has been amazing to support him/cover his news/be inspired by him.

With the revolution in Iraq currently going on with 350+ killed and thousands injured.. Narcy wrote a song for Baghdad and its nothing short than SPECTACULAR !!

The song is produced by the "Spear Of Arabic Hip-Hop production", Iraqi producer Sandhill, whose production impacted myself and many others.

To have a song like this debut on a show like "Albasheer Show" is just incredible. The show has a huge following and is viewed by many around the world but especially in Iraq. Narcy has always been an artist where you can feel his love for his homeland. Despite him performing mainly in English, one can tell his passion for Arabia and his country Iraq by watching his videos, he even did a whole "Arabic Album" which you can find below...

Qahwah Con Leche: Hip-Hop on a Coffee Break !

I am a big advocate of using samples that represents a culture, so when two cultures collide, its a beautiful day for me...

Qahwah Con Leche is the collaborative instrumental album by music producers Thanks Joey & El Bles. The album is an ode to their mutual love for coffee, culture, & vinyl where their two worlds collide using Middle Eastern & Latin influences. 

“Qahwah”, Arabic for “coffee” represents the two Producer’s roots in their respective cultures heard throughout the album in their choices of Latin & Middle Eastern samples. “Con Leche” or Spanish for “with milk” is the bridge between East meets West, where their influence of Hip-Hop Culture is evident and deep-rooted.

They just released the first single from that album entitled "Qahwah Con Leche" - Check it out on ALL STREAMING PLATFORMS...

Just before his show in Dubai, we sat down with the man himself, Iraqi/Canadian Artist "Narcy" and get to know the artist behind the amazing music, we dive into his beginnings , his passion for Hip-Hop, his latest album "SpaceTime" and whats next for him.

The show also featured Dj Lethal Skillz, Layla Kardan and Moh Flow. 

THE BEAT DXB PRESENTS: NARCY LIVE IN DUBAI !!

THE BEAT is a series of events curated by Saudi radio host and blogger Big Hass, all in the aim to support local and regional rising music artists by creating opportunities for them to perform live. What started as an underground event in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) in 2013 has now been marked by the DXB stamp, as Big Hass tries to nourish the independent music scene through private live events. 

In less than a year, two Dubai editions of THE BEAT have already been successfully accomplished, bringing a new flair to the local music scene. 

It is time to crank up the volume for a third edition and bring in a prominent talent from the indie international hip-hop scene, alongside some artists from Dubai, who will be opening for the main act. 

For The BEAT DXB vol iii lineup, Big Hass is inviting one of his heroes, Canadian-Iraqi artist Narcy to showcase exclusively his new album "Space Time" LIVE in Dubai. Multimedia and merging East and West are trademarks in Narcy’s way of presenting his art; in this performance, he will be giving his audience a visual and auditory glimpse on what “Space Time” means to him on personal, cultural and philosophical level. 

Joining him will be Lebanese Dj/Turntablist Dj Lethal Skillz, a music pioneer and the undisputed champion in the genre of Turntablism, fusing hip-hop and oriental Arabian streams. 

Opening acts will also include soulful voice and fashion enthusiast Layla Kardan, and Moh Flow, who is one of the first artists who supported The Beat from its humble beginnings in Saudi Arabia. 


The event will occur on Wednesday March 13, 2019 
Event is powered by G-Shock Middle-East

#ChobiBryant is the sequel of the Makoo Video and it's amazing to see how entertaining yet relevant Narcy and his team are.

This is how I will remember him. 

In November 2015, I attended Sole DXB, one of Dubai's coolest urban events offering contemporary street culture with distinctive Middle Eastern flair. The renowned event is a meeting point for regional and international artists, designers all in promotion of urban culture. 

I was so excited to be finally attending such a grand platform! One of my goals that day was to check out Narcy's installation and to support him. His pop-up shop was basically a stand alone baqala (Middle Eastern small grocery store) where he exhibited his #iraqafella & #WATM trademark urban wear and accessories. 

The vibes at #soledxb rock! You feel alive. I just wish we got somethin like that in Jeddah.. It just doesn't work & culture there won't event allow it. What a shame. Beautiful vibes. 🙏 #MyDubai #Dubai #Vibes #Adidas

The adrenaline rush of meeting your favorite artists is always a positive stamp. People were buzzing in the store, fascinated by Narcy's installation and merchandise. His mom – may Allah bless her – was his number one supporter as she was witnessing her son's success. For a moment, everyone became silent. Even Narcy seemed quiet – almost in shock - and was humbled by the presence of a legend in the hip hop realm. Guess who walks in? Prodigy of MOBB Deep! WHAT?! That was the first and last time I saw him. He was accompanied by his partner "Havoc"

I notice Narcy whispering to his mother in arabic “I used to listen to these guys when we were kids!” A proud moment I am sure for him and for his mom; and I honestly couldn't help myself but share my pride and amazement at Prodigy's humility and show of support towards an Arab hip hop artist.

"Free" which is a track off Narcy's album "World War Free Now!" has always been one of my favorite tracks and now I love it even more because of the video that was just dropped. The footage was shot by Ridwan Adhami over 5 years and it features refugees from 19 countries. The track is produced by Sandhill.
