Bu Kolthoum has always been very honest with his lyrics. I feel its real and its refreshing. We really need to support this guy even more and push him. I salute him as he's someone who really is giving the whole Arabic Music scene something to really be proud of. He's unique.
He just dropped a song called "Wallé" and its around 3 AM Dubai Time, and I had to catch him and ask him what inspired such a song, a full-detailed audio interview will be released in next few days but for now, please enjoy the song, push it, share it.
Bu Kolthoum said for RE-VOLT : "For me I made this track, as kind of a statement to the victim culture and to the mob mentality culture. - - Two sides to the same coin, which is the same problem - We either idolize people to the point of we deny that they make mistakes and at the same we dehumanize other people totally as if they dont have any feelings"
He goes on and says: "and the other side of the coin, Im addressing the fact that everyone wants to be a victim. only the feeling of the victims matter... this track is a statement to that way of thinking"

The launch was held at "The Fridge" in Dubai & it was part of their "Concert Series Events". Dj Liutik opened up the night with an incredible set and rappers Moh Flow & Freek took the stage with each performing 3 of their hit songs.

Lebanese Rapper N1yah Drops a Video for "Die Alone"
Lebanese-Dubai based rapper N1yah dropped a video for her track "Die Alone" & I for one wants to support her. We don't have many female MC's in the region and we really need to start pushing our sisters out there to get on the mic and start representing..
"We're born alone, we die alone and I want to people to let go the negative incidents that happened to them and live the moment" N1yah says abot the track

I first met Menon at "Rayan's" place about 3 months back. I wanted to meet this young fella because I felt that he had a lot to say. He's half Sri Lankan half Filipino, born and raised in Dubai. He had endured a lot in his life and I for one was/is ready to hear what he has to say.
We sat down and he took me through some of his new work that "Rayan" was producing. I felt the vibe.. felt the passion and hunger.. felt the words and wanted to support..

He has been waiting for today to release his single "REGULA" fully produced by "RAYAN" who always does a great job capturing the artist's vibe and energy and suiting the beat to him/her plus he always have his points that really make a huge difference in how the artist deliver. Mad respect to him.
Song was just dropped on "Anghami" and also the video which was amazingly shot/directed by Eazy World Peace is now LIVE!!
Before you see the video & be amazed, this is what Menon told me about the track "Regula is about self realization and self empowerment, it's about embracing and flaunting your inner misfit."
I also got this quote from Eazy World Peace about the track
"When I first heard it I felt a sense of triumph intertwined with an underdog-climbing-to-the-top vibe. I was in the studio with the guys as they made it so my feelings were generated during the creative process of the song"

Bu Kolthoum Releases NEW TRACK & IT IS INCREDIBLE !!!!!
Bu Kolthoum just released a new track .This track is entitled "Hayy" which means "Alive". It is also produced by him.
I been in contact with Bu Kolthoum for quite sometime, he has been in a refugee camp in Europe and this track is inspired by the things he saw/experience at the camp.
I got so much love & respect for this man! May Allah bless him. He recently said that his papers worked out and his situation will be better soon. This track will definitely inspire so many people that are facing/faced a similiar situation. The track got me teary a bit, I could never imagine what he went through, what a lot of refugees go through on a daily basis.. this is an important song for every human-being.. Mad Love
Thank you Bu Kolthoum for being an important voice for our generation.
I can't wait for his highly anticipated album "Bo'Bo"that will be released later on 2017!

RUSS LIVE IN DUBAI / 29th April
I was able and through the good people of 1520 to get a phone interview with American Hip-Hop artist "RUSS".. sadly the audio got damaged and it wasn't recorded well.. ;( I am trying my best now to either revive it or do a re-interview when he comes to Dubai, UAE for his FIRST SHOW IN UAE )
The main question people wanted to ask RUSS was about his "policy" for not having any opening acts in his shows. His reply was ""Let them build their own **** fan base, I have worked so hard to get mine and I ain't giving it away like that & if rappers get mad, let them get mad"
He also expressed his love for the Middle-East ! He does have fans from Saudi who will be flying in to attend. His show on Friday 29th is highly anticipated and it's so cool to see someone like "RUSS" selling out venues worldwide. At one point he kept releasing a song every week for a year. His work ethic is incredible and when I asked him about that, his answer was "I simply wanted to blow up" which he did!
If you're in the region, make sure you fly out for this and attend the show.
Big salute to Rèpublique for hooking me up with 2 free tickets! I cant wait to be there and hopefully get a backstage pass and do the interview (THIS TIME VIDEO !!)
