Moroccan Pop Artist "MANAL" releases "TAJ" // A woman empowerment track

MANAL

Born in 1993 in Casablanca, Morocco, Manal started singing at the age of 6. In 2015 Manal released her debut single ‘Denia’, a song she had written and composed. This song also got her the ‘Best Female Artist North Africa’ AFRIMA Awards that year. In 2016 Manal signed a management deal with ‘RPEG Ltd’ founded by Wu-Tang Clan artist and producer Cilvaringz. 
In April 2017 Manal released her second single ‘Koulchi Ban’ and in October 2017 signed a multi-year recording and representation contract with Sony Music Entertainment Middle East.

She just released the video for her new track "Taj" which means "Crown". Its so dope to see a young Arab female artist addressing & pushing women empowerment via her songs. Enjoy the video, watch it & share it.

Half Kuwaiti/Half Syrian Graphic Designer Drops a Video & It's KICK ASS!!!

I've always said that we need more female artists from Arabia and I always big up my sisters... & thanks to my brother Omar Afuni who is an artist based in Kuwait, he put me on to "Ghaneema" & oh man!! When I first checked out the video, I was impressed, It's done very well, I found myself singing along (catchy lyrics)  & it's simply KICK ASS !! (On repeat..really!)

If you've been following me, then you definitley heard the name "Shébani" before. This amazing Dubai based singer/songwriter just a dropped a new single entitled "Scylla" produced by "Rayan" and its simply catchy, radio friendly, dope and hip.

What I personally love about the song is the fact that Shébani was able to get out of her comfort zone and she did that with ease and proved that an artist can always try new things and succeed in it. She's a natural man..Big credit goes to her producer "Rayan" who has been a huge catalyst for artists not only producing songs for them but also making them realize why they do music in the first place which is a very important thing to know as an artist.

I do believe that Shébani is a very important artist to support and push from this region. Not only is she humble and talented but she's also a voice for so many and I 100% believe that lots of people relate to her and her vibe which is somehow empowering as well. ** UPDATE**  25th Oct --- The Music video of the track was just released & its directed by the beast "Freek TV" who proved once again that he's a visionary at what he does. S/O to his better half "Dj Liutik" who always been supportive and as a Dj, she's been playing records for local artists at her events which is really cool.

It is derived from ancient Greek mythology dating back to the name of a sea princess driven mad by an opposing sea-king she fell in love with. The song is an expression of being driven crazy by a particular person or feeling helplessly lost in a situation. The song is not tailored to solely categorize a sense of crazed love, but to liberate us from the feeling of overcoming it.

Shébani - Ocean On Fire (Alter Ego EP) - Produced by Rayan

27th July,2016.. 3:01 AM and I got a message from Rayan saying that "Ocean On Fire" is out !! I found myself heading to Bandcamp   and purchasing the track. (which what you should do too :p )

I've heard it before; but hearing it again at that time made me feel somehow proud that I have been supporting these guys.
